Fair warning, the plastic lids are NOT watertight on my Mason jars, sadly...
Most people don't realize how much energy it takes for me to pretend to be normal.

If I wanted to listen to an asshole, I'd fart.

Wife made it back from her visit with her mom on Friday. Ran some errands prior to going to the airport. Stopped at a local running store and bought a new pair of Go-Fasters (running shoes). Spent ost of Saturday in the garden pulling weeds and spraying fish guts and kelp fertilizer. Harvested a bunch of swiss chard, some turnips, salad greens, radishes, and some delicata and kubocha squash.

Tasted the fermenting sauerkraut... it's getting sauer.... still pretty salty. Will probably taste pretty good with some grilled polish sausage......

Sunday.... did a long run in my new shoes..... 16 miles! Holycrap my legs are sore! It was a gorgeous day for a run though. Temps in the upper 50's when I started with a fair amount of wind (was a bit chilly!) and LOTS of sunshine! It got a little warmer, and by the time I was done it was in the 60's, which is a fairly comfortable temp to run in. It was a bit breezy for the whole run, but not unbearable. Overall it was a good day..... gave me an excuse to soak in the tub....

Wifey made an "inverted" shepards pie. The "crust" was made from a couple of small potatos, some turnips, rutabaga and a few carrots all mashed together, and the ground beef filling went in and there is no "topping".....

I made some "pancakes" on Sunday from an egg and some kubocha squash. Mixed them together, poured in a skillet, fried them in some clarified butter and put a little maple syrup in top..... yum!
