It has been happening to me too lately. Coincidentally it started after I upped my protein. I need to go back to my 4-6 oz. serving of protein rich foods per meal.

How much carb are you eating at these meals?

this past meal was only 8 carbs
Hmm, OK. I get that when I eat too many carbs...
I wonder whether, like Cleo, it might be too much protein for you? or maybe not enough fat?

I have the same problem. I think it's a circadian rhythm thing for me.

This is totally unscientific, but if you watch carnivores or omnivores they ALWAYS nap after a meal! I think it's natural - maybe a sign that your body is moving into/out of digestion mode whereas before it was always kind of half-in digestion mode? If at all possible, go catch 20 min. of zzzzzs. It feels awesome.
Um, yeah, dude, that'll do it. Protein is energy-intensive to digest. The thermic effect of protein (number of calories required to digest as a percent of calories consumed) is 25% compared to 4-5% for carbohydrate and fat. Eating a giant wallop of protein will put me in slug mode every time too.
Today I will: Eat food, not poison. Plan for success, not settle for failure. Live my real life, not a virtual one. Move and grow, not sit and die.
