I'll give it a miss.

check this out. It's a good thing that I am not evangelical about Paleo or I would spend my whole day commenting on junk like this. I just happy being in kick-ass shape for 52 and being an example to friends and family. Got to read this though, what motivates those who launch this kind of attack?

I don't know about you, but I do not love to eat quinoa. Seeing it in the same category as ice cream is strange.
I enjoy the Huffington Post, but I take everything from it with a hunk of salt. And usually some butter, too.
the sugar and grain industry and related producers will do anything IMO to steer people towards eating that crap. Missleading propaganda is easy.

I watched Dr Oz last night. 4 women dealing with binge disorder and he kept going on about how we all use food to control emotions. Yeah, except people that eat primal/paleo.....
To be honest, it does sound like a load of shit until you try it and it works.
Our body is our subconscious mind, and anybody who thinks that their conscious mind is running the show is seriously mistaken. In fact the conscious mind just may be the most narcissistic entity in the universe, it thinks it's running the show. It's not.

And that's why I'm here eating HFLC Primal/Paleo.
Isn't that the truth? If someone would have told me I could eat all of the meat, eggs and veggies that I wanted and just by giving up processed crap and sugar the weight would fall off, I would have thought they were hitting the pipe. However, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Crap like this makes my saturated-fat-laden blood boil. Here are some of my favorites from the article:
“Legumes also provide….essential nutrients and fiber." It makes it sound like we have to eat legumes.
"There's no real research behind it….” That’s right. None whatsoever. Just because they didn’t research it doesn’t mean there is no research.
“And while the diet's restrictive nature might result in initial weight loss, it can be problematic as a long-term weight loss solution…”
“As part of the Paleo diet, it would be easy to choose cuts of meat that are sky-high in artery-clogging LDL cholesterol and saturated fat.”
“There's another, wholly unrelated problem: pleasure. "It eliminates quinoa, ice cream, pasta -- these things we love to eat, that make us social creatures…”
Oh the horror! Going a few days without eating ice cream, pasta, or quinoa! Monsters!
It's a hoax!!!
