Thanks! I'm going to start a blog, and make updates here as well.
I started running again yesterday; today I had a great run a just a few minutes ago - for me a tremendous time. 1.5 miles in 14:17 averaging a 9:31ish pace. For me, today, that would be 6pts or the MNSP fitness standard :-)
All the above is good advice but work on core especially as it will help in all areas and serve you well in the demanding job you are training.
