Another successful day of seemingly OK blood pressure after drinking a little bit of caffeine. Now the dance between enough caffeine and too much, since I don't do well with too much. And too much isn't a whole hell of a lot for me!

Breakfast at 10:30AM due to morning volunteer commitments:

3/4 c full fat plain greek yogurt
    1/4 c raisins
    1/4 c pinenuts

    Snack:

small piece of homemade toffee. Just had to try it before I gave it to others.
few ounces of ground beef/soup bone beef *tasted* while cooking

    Dinner:

1 super large yam (so they said it was a yam) with 2T ghee and salt

The weather has gone from overcast and 67 to rainy, windy and 45 in a matter of 2 hours. Perfect night for a sweet potato and butter. Comfort food.

just a note to self: I'm reducing the amount of animal meat I eat for a bit to see if I do better. I am getting thicker in places I was lean (arms, especially) prior to starting PB. I really went nuts with the quantity of meat ingested, but now I'm taking a look at how much protein my body (5'3", 120lbs, 47yrs) really requires.

2/3c mashed red potatoes with butter/garlic
    2 oz cheese

    Snack:

A small piece of homemade butter toffee. yum

Feeling good on the beautiful sunny WINTER day. 23 degrees and absolutely fantastic!

I did fasting glucose blood draw and cholesterol panel this morning. I am very interested in seeing if my total cholesterol can go up over 150 for the first time ever. I have eaten so much more protein and fat than I ever have in the past 4 months. I'd love to see that total cholesterol up over 180. My HDL/LDL ratio has always been great. We'll see what changes, if anything.

So, now I'm off to lunch at PF Changs at noon. I'm just going to hold out another 90 minutes and eat there. I'm hungry.

I did have some 1/3 caffeinated coffee from Starbucks on my way home from the blood draw. No jittery feelings. Great!

Happy day. First one in about 6 weeks, really.

    Lunch:

Huge pile of pancakes (gluten free) with butter and maple syrup

As you can see, we did not go to PF Changs. I let myself get too hungry and made some choices with my gut rather than my head.

    Dinner:

    6 oz pulled pork
    caramelized onions and cabbage

    YUM

Another day. Back to the uro-gyn for more consult. I am feeling a bit optimistic now. A bit. At least my BP is back to my asymptomatic range of 100/57. Pulse 54. I feel so much better; more stable. I was able to walk on the treadmill at a 7.0 grade for an hour. Speed about 3.3 mph. I could go faster, but the pounding didn't feel too great on the pelvis. Good work out for the butt.

Skipped breakfast to see if IF affected my BP. Fasting blood glucose was very normal so I wanted to do this experiment. According to the doctor's office machine, my BP is fine. I think I'll just do IF when I am not hungry. Most mornings I am not hungry. Did have some 1/2 caff coffee with HFCS-free egg nog. LOOOVE egg nog in coffee.

    Lunch:

6oz pulled pork over 2c broccoli slaw
    1c ground beef/onion/bacon stir fry
    1T ghee

dessert was 1T peanut butter and a very small piece of homemade toffee (1" square)

Mixed it all together and enjoyed immensely. Well, ate the toffee separately.

    Dinner:

    1 large sweet potato
    2T ghee
1/2 c white rice cooked with coconut milk instead of water. HEAVEN

1 dark chocolate covered macadamia nut. Husband brought them home from Hawaii

Another beautiful day here. I am craving a long run. Still working on pelvic floor stability...

IF except for some BP 1/2 caff coffee with heavy cream.

    Lunch:

    1c broccoli slaw
    3oz pulled pork
    2c beef/bacon/onion/cabbage stir fry

    2oz dark chocolate

    Dinner:

    1 sweet potato
    2T ghee
    handful raspberries

dessert: 1 bourbon chocolate chip cupcake with way too much bourbon frosting. I am either drunk or on a sugar high. It was my son's 16th birthday and I enjoyed myself.

I was able to walk twice for an hour each time. Both up hill on treadmill.
