Tangy: Best Chicken Soup I've had in over 20 years

Hot and Sour style. Super Tangy. Best chicken soup I've had in 2 decades. Seriously. Hubby's recipe. I can't claim one iota of it. Yum. Bugged him for 2 weeks for the recipe so I could share it with you. I could live off this stuff. Recipe here <3 <3

I am trying a variation of this tonight. We customized it more to our families taste as far as veggies go but stuck with the main spices and what not. Its simmering now. Smells amazing, can't wait to get a bowl full.

That looks fabulous, saving it, thx for posting.
Broccoli freak, too. I love it with eggs, red bell pepper, yellow squash & onions.

What is "spicy relish" -- is that an oriental relish you buy in a jar?

Well, we actually made ours, but something like spicy wickles would work well.

I'd much rather make my own! What ingredients do you put in yours?

a basic one that rocks is julienned cucs, onion, garlic, jalapeno peppers, red pepper, chili pepper, vinegar and salt. We actually used apple cider vinegar in the batch that was put in the soup and it was really good. Nice change from pickling in white vinegar.
