Body pH - a suprise pee test at work

A lady I work with brought in pee strips that change colour indicating pH level.
She brought them in for me, knowing I eat paleo.

I got a 5.0 which ranks as quite acidic. She seemed quite pleased with herself when I told her the result.

Should I be concerned? Or take it with a grain of salt (something else I don't worry about).

For me, alkaline vs. acid is a bunch of hoo-ha. Whatever you eat has to match the acid balance of your intestines in order to digest. You can read more on it here: Your Urine is Not a Window to Your Body: pH Balancing A Failed Hypothesis Science-Based Pharmacy

Don't really know, but I'm glad you asked because I have to research it then.

So far I found Urine pH, which seems to indicate that you might still be in a normal range for your body. And maybe all you need to do is eat more vegetables. What was hers? Because it can also be too alkaline.

That's all I've got so far.

EDIT: and as the post above suggests - it's all hooey anyway.

Thanks for both answers - I figured I was fine. I don't have any symptoms of over acidity which I'll let her know. I think her pH was 7-8

Thanks for posting this ZG. A good article to send to people being duped by this malarky.

I was always under the impression that our natural pH was on the acidic side anyways?

I'm busy with a biology lab. It turned out that most enzymes that I tested were digesting best at a pH of around 5.
    well then
