I have a question. The other day I was "discussing" nutritional decisions with a close friend that is a vegetarian. We got on the topic of legumes and I mentioned that that is why I don't do peanuts. I know that they are, but what exactly makes them a legume? Are there other items that we have mislabled as a nut?

Basically, how do you identify a legume?
