They are required to feed her?!? Something sounds wrong there they should not be required to force feed a child that has already eaten.
Why not just feed her at home and send her in with a piece of fruit or some veg (carrot sticks) and a note that says she has already eaten.

I do send yogurt some mornings, I guess that's a good amount of protein? I get whole milk greek yogurt when I can find it, and mix it with homemade preserves. Maybe yogurt, an egg-based muffin, and a fruit? I ran across this Pinterest page a little while ago and it's inspired me a bit more--I think she'd like a muffin with a sweet squash, cinnamon, eggs, and a bit of sausage--she really liked my butternut squash soup last winter.
