    Hi everyone!!!

I really need some brekky ideas!!! I can't have smoothies because they don't fill me up. And bacon and eggs makes me sick :-( I need something budget friendly and able to be prepared and eaten in half an hour as I don't have much time before work!!!

Usually I just have a cold sausage I cooked the night before. Or vegetable fritters. I have to be out the door by 7 30.

Since you are in QLD the sausages I buy are Mr Beaks gourmet ones from Woolworths. It took a long history of google searches to figure out if the sausages came from a grass fed cow (which they are).
I'm sure that sausages aren't primal, but meh.

Or if I've got a small pot of full fat cream, which I don't get it very often, I'll drink that for breakfast.
But either its usually sausage, or vegetable fritters with coconut flour.

Fruit and yoghurt sprinkled with nuts and (sometimes) and drizzle of honey works well for me on days when I can't be bothered whipping up something with eggs or baking. Otherwise, leftovers work just fine; just slap'em in the microwave and you're set.

Instead of smoothies, I recommend thick shakes. Much more filling. Use only a tad bit of water and a whole banana, and a good handful of nuts - makes a delicious, nutty ice cream that you just pour (or scoop) in a bottle and drink on the go.

how 'bout caprese egg bake? Tomatoes with prosciutto wrapped in mozzarella and topped with eggs, cream, and spices. Bake it for 5-8 mins, then set under broiler for another 5.
Or the old Primal standby... LEFTOVERS!

Thanks everyone!!! :-D These are great! We NEVER have leftovers here, the boys just seem to have a way of...inhaling the food! Lol at least I know they like it!!! :-D

Thanks again everyone...next question - lunch ideas!!! For kids mainly - all I can think of is sandwiches and muesli bars but obviously those are out of the question!! What is something that the kids can take with them that will keep until lunch??

Sauté an onion (I actually take mine all the way to carmelization). Add shrooms, a little bell pepper, and a leafy green. Add some tore up bacon or ground sausage to the veggies. Throw a dozen eggs on top. Cook on stove top five minutes. Broil five minutes. Cut into eighths. Breakfast frittatas on the go for four days.

I've made so many different variations with veggie/meat combos. The chorizo/jalapeño/onion/sweet potato/kale has been my favorite probably.

You can also make your own paleo muffins. I made blueberry muffins and biscuits and I love them. I usually eat the biscuits for breakfast with my eggs and bacon. Sometimes I put smoked salmon on it.

I just eat whatever I have left over the night before for breakfast.

I have to stand up for smoothies! I make mine with half a can of coconut milk, a few frozen berries, greens, sprouts or whatever else I have. They're around 500 calories which seems to tie me over. I drink coffee too. I've also been having celery and almond butter lately. Its good if I'm not too hungry and its super easy because I have ziplocks of veggies prepped and ready to go, and nut butters are fairly energy dense.

Fullfat coconut milk mixed with turkish yogurt with nuts, raisins, and cinnamon mixed in. I add maple syrup occasionally. Yum!
