Help a kitchen noob make some creamy custard

    Yeah, I need some help.

I need the most basic custard recipe possible, with some detailed instructions on how to not cook into a solid. Every time I try it, it ends up like that. Still pretty good, but not exactly what I'm looking for.

    Thanks in advance!

As in a custard base for ice cream? Or are you looking for pudding?

The trick to not turning a custard into scrambled eggs is tempering. To temper eggs what you do is very slowly mix in your warm ingredients so the eggs come to temp and don't cook. It's very easy. Here is a delicious sounding basic custard and it's Primal!

Lame! The recipe is at ezprimal.com and it's under desserts. Let me know how it turns out so I can test it out as well.
