I don't think he was every completely vegan. I think he said he still has fish a few times a week.

Ornish is vegetarian, not vegan. They include eggs and dairy in their diet. You can make it vegan if you want, but you don't have to.

You are right, zoe. When I heard him speak in the 90's he was there for heart disease lectures. I had it in my fam so I went for that, and he was promoting only plant based diet, not even oil supplements, for those with heart disease. It was an extremely difficult program to follow from what I heard from friends who tried it. I see now he follows/recommends a vegetarian lifestyle, admitting he has occasional animal products. I have not kept up with him and should not have stated that without checking, note to self.

A lot of ex-presidents look way better after they leave the stress of the office.

So he has cut out fast food and is eating a cleaner diet that includes fish - that does not sound vegan to me.

    Bill Clinton Is a Vegan?
Eating primal is not a diet, it is a way of life.

That's what I read, he eats fish occasionally,
Primal/Paleo is not for everyone, it's for those who have committed to understand.

He looked awful and had trouble speaking at first.
Steak, eggs, potatoes - fruits, nuts, berries and forage. Coconut milk and potent herbs and spices. Tea instead of coffee now and teeny amounts of kelp daily. Let's see how this does! Not really had dairy much, and gut seems better for it.

He is definitely managing to keep his weight down--but I'm pretty sure he has had some nip and tuck done.

Well, if he's eating according to ornish plus fish, then if he cut grains, he'd be in our paleo family. LOL

An inch of makeup, and a tan... you can even make old Bill Clinton look good.

Take away both of those, and he'll look ill.
