Check out Gut Sense: How to reverse and prevent constipation in children and adults and/or Fiber Menace (book by the same guy). He has information about IBD and how to improve bowel function.
Problem is that so much of his information is wrong:

    Addressing "The Fiber Menace"

If you don't want to use, acknowledge, or believe in this information, that's fine. But considering that his big idea of 'eat low fiber' which goes against EVERY CW suggestion for treating digestive problems, like constipation, has helped people with excruciating pain, trying to discredit it over some minor issues (my opinion) in the way that you do makes you seem like an ass.

Believe what you want, but his misinformation is not a "minor issue". The gut flora are a major part of the immune system, produce 80% of the body's serotonin, control intestinal peristalsis, controls Candida growth and form, produce certain vitamins for the body, etc. And what do the flora feed on and need to grow? That's right, fibers! Therefore, starving out the flora by eliminating fibers is just asking for health problems.

And what if people with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease actually read his bogus information about these conditions being caused by fiber. So they ignore the bacterium that triggers these conditions and ignore the adrenals that modulates immune processes preventing autoimmune conditions like these. If these people get worse because they follow the advice of someone who has no clue about what causes or contributes to these conditions that is only a "minor issue" in your mind? Thank God I am not taking any medical advice from you!!!

If you don't like what I present then don't read my posts.

    JamesS -

I never give medical info - I merely share what i've done/experienced and suggest things for people to look into for themselves.

I'm sure you know a lot of good information, and have probably helped a lot of people. But the way you respond in this forum makes you look like a pompous know-it-all, and several of the things you've stated as fact are unproven theories.

And by the way, if what I'm writing is so ridiculous, then how did I single-handledly, without the help of any of the many specialists I've been to, manage to both heal my IBS AND simultaneously put my MS into remission without the use of a single MS drug?

Perhaps you just need to feel like you're the only one with the answers.

I've never been diagnosed with anything (they told me it was "stress") but had daily diarrhea, heartburn (varying between mild and extremely painful) gas and bloating for years. I literally had diarrhea every single day for years (and yet I was still fat . . . .go figure).

For me it had to be 100% grain free. I just mention this because your posts (original poster) sort of imply you are just trying to be gluten free? I went gluten free for two years and it helped, but not enough. Going 100% grain free (including the pseudo grains like quinoa) are what cleared it up.

I'm still following this thread, and yes - this is still the situation exactly with my daughter. No beans/100% no grains = healthy bowels. I'm glad you found this answer and it is working for you.

Do you even have a clue what a theory is?

And as far as your other comment I am just going to write it off as another of your insults that you keep responding to me with since you have nothing else in the way of evidence to present. But in short I am getting really fed up with people like you constantly bashing me because I have actually taken the time to research these topics in depth for decades. A large part of what I do involves doing a massive amount of medical research on a regular basis. That is how come I have known about the viral link to MS and the role of the adrenals and low affinity antibodies for over 20 years. All it takes is a little research to verify the information. So don't keep insulting me in each of your responses to me just because you are too lazy to take the few minutes it takes to verify what I stated.

Read the end of post #57:

    http://www.marksdailyapple.com/forum/thread65229-6.html

That is one possibility. Without more details as to exactly what you ate or what "lifestyle changes" you made reference to it is impossible to say for sure what actually helped. Maybe you gave up caffeine or nicotine. Maybe you reduced your stress levels. Maybe you started eating foods higher in vitamin C and pantothenic acid supporting the adrenals. Maybe you got off the adrenal atrophying or immune suppressing drugs the doctors love to prescribe for MS. I am not a mind reader so don't ask me to guess how you managed to deal with your MS without any details about what changes you made.

Why is it that all the people too lazy to research the claims that I make to verify the information always use this same insult? Do you all follow the same Insult Those Who Post What You Do Not Understand Playbook?

Some people do have sensitivities to grains. Just like some people have sensitivities to milk, or certain meats, etc. This does not mean these foods are a problem for everyone. I have consumed soy all my life. I eat grains all the time. I love Mexican food, especially beans. I also eat a variety of fibrous foods, seeds, meats, etc. And I have been extremely healthy nearly my entire life. I was allergic to mother's milk and cow's milk as a baby, which is why I was given soy milk as a baby. I outgrew my allergies at the age of 5 and have never had any real health problems since. Just the occasional cold or whatever every few years. Again, just because some people have problems with some foods this does not make them bad for everyone.

If multiple people are saying that you sound like a know-it-all who becomes antagonistic when other people present alternate information that has personally helped them, that should be a clue...

I'm going to figure out how to block you so I don't have to waste time arguing with someone who thinks he knows all the answers in the world for everyone. I already get to argue with someone like that: my dad. One person like that is enough for me

...update: Just put someone on the ignore list - wish I could put my dad on this sometimes!

Its really simple. If you see my name at the top of a post then don't read it or respond to it. Oops, there I go again explaining simple concepts to you. I guess this means you will be responding with even more insults.
