Took the dogs to the beach today. It is sunny and 40 degrees only enough. Got some jogging, sprinting and walking in. Dogs went swimming.

25 minute pacy run in hail, rain and strong wind.Bad weather,in my opinion, adds to the quality of outdoor exercise ( plenty of it in N.W. England).

Being that time of year and in my home town for a few days, I was happy to get back in the gym today.
Managed to get a good walk in while home and a good quick bodyweight session the next day with 50 push ups, 100 mountain climbers, 50 bodyweight overhead/jacknife presses, 100 squats and more.
But today, got to go to the gym and did mostly my usual Friday workout, with a few changes to make it whole body.
Started with 2x15 butt lift bridges, 1 full back bridge with hold, 3x30sec plank and 3x15 side plank, 3x15 push ups
Then didn't go too heavy - 40kg push press, stiff-leg deadlift and bent over row.
Then hit the pull up machine and started with a low assistance then increased it as I tried to lift my 104kg frame, alternating pull ups and chin ups.
Then did some negatives and just static holds.
    Then some dips.
Then 200kg leg press. Stretched and walked home (20mins).

    Feel SOOO much better!

22 x 50m laps swimming today - 14 with the kickboard and the rest breastroke and backstroke, in about 50 mins. I normally do 30 laps on a Friday but a big storm came over and I retired from the pool and let the lightning play!

Heading to the beach without a real plan right now. Loosely planning to sprint lightly, squat with and throw rocks, spin some massive chunks of driftwood around and around, perhaps. Use my body until I'm sweating, rest, repeat, and then head back up the many flights of stairs and across the third of a mile steep-terrain back to my car. Will report shortly as to what I actually do!

Took half an hour. Ran in the hail, forehead went numb, ear drums felt like exploding, I felt great. Ran downhill about a quarter mile-ish? to the beach. Ran down five flights of stairs, jogged over to the rocks. Tried one that was too heavy to stand up with, found a slightly smaller one and did squat-throws until I felt sore, then did double-footed jumps onto a driftwood tree, again until exhausted. Did plenty of dips, chinups and pullups in the tangled roots, ran back up the stairs (face and hands now numb completely) and sped walked back to my car. Left gastrocnemius getting a small cramp, just kept hobbling. Took me a very long time to make my fingers work the keys and drive home. Feeling great!
