Not when I was your age. I was able to hit it hard the next day not matter what shape I was in from the night before. Now, not so much....

Today I tore down an old fence, chopped down two trees with an axe (no kidding), and did some work on my kids treehouse/playground thing. I gotta say, dragging heavy logs, chopping down trees, pulling fence poles out of the ground using leg muscles, that was a righteous workout.

Yesterday's 4th Black Belt pre-test was rough - not used to going full speed for 2 hours of 1 to 2 minute sprint intervals basically. I did pretty good for the first hour and a half, then started fading towards the end. May have to lengthen my morning workouts and add some form of afternoon cardio to get ready this last six weeks.

    Workout today:

    Walked the dog 2.2 miles

    Power Cleans 5x5
    Dead Hang Pull Ups 5x5
    Dips 3x15

Decided to do things a little different, after my experience on Saturday for the pre-test.

I'm going to play for the first time in months! Between work (up at 7, home by 5), getting ready to workout, actually working out, and then cooking dinner and preparing my lunch, I only get 2 hours a day (and its dark by then) to do stuff I like to do. So today I'm leaving work early and playing basketball with my brothers.
