BR, I too felt the strain of the heavy squats in 5x5 format. BRUTAL! I like Madcow because only the last set is max weight

Leida - congrats on your BP PR! Strong girl! Do you ever do weighted push-ups?
    Oh, thank you!

I never did. They are just too awkward for a clumsy gal like me. I did 100 push-ups program for a while, and, once, in a fit of delirium I tried Tabata push-ups (the longest 10 sec of my life!) now I just throw in push-ups during my stretch/dance/yoga thiggie. I try to do tricep push ups now, hard buggers. Weighted negatives though helped me on chin-ups and pull-ups, *highly* recommended!

Nick, you're brutal, I'll say it again... ;-) Does your wife workout?

BR, thanks for the heads-up... I wasn't really feeling strong in the gym today, now I feel I should have at least gotten up to 10 reps on my last squat set! What are you overall goals with Wendler? Just get stronger on those lifts? Do you wear a belt?

Deadlifts, clean and jerks and hiking. Also some barefoot walking earlier.
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.

Finally got my swim in yesterday, on the very last day before the pool's closure! Fins fit great!

Today's plan is walking, stretch and KB's if I feel good and rested by the time I can get out of the office. If I feel tired, I will do it on Saturday.

To get my squat & deadlift back up over 600 lbs and standing OHP over 225. My overall goal is to just retain as much lean body mass while shedding fat. I started at 289 lbs and a size 48 jean. I'm currently at about 217 lbs in a size 31.

I only wear a belt on my last set of heavy squats. Don't use it on deadlifts.
