Cycle a couple of kms on my TOTALLY AWESOME NEW CYCLOCROSS BIKE. Get flat tyre. Carry my awesome cylocross bike a km home! Yep it wanted to make sure I knew I could carry it....
Thanks for a smile on Monday morning Great workout too, lol!

Today's plan is walking & either HIIT on the bike or a swim or nothing if DOMS don't get walked out! I had a great stretch/foam roll after lifting yesterday, and will continue today, because tomorrow is the Deadlifting day, and I am not doing 4x5 Madcow deadlifts with aching hamstrings.

My second fins are in the mail (gotta fit better!), so I should be able to start swimming as my HIIT as well... only the pool is going to be closed from 26 to 9th september. But it's for the good cause - they are installing a climbing wall in the pool, WOOT!

Today was day one. I did 75 two handed swings in sets of 40, 20, and 15 in 4:44. Then I walked with it on my shoulders for .5 miles. I was smoked at the end but have a burst of energy now.

Nothing after work yesterday, went shopping for kiddo's ballet frocks instead. Cute!

    Today: Madcow/3x5: OHP (2x57, 1x60); SQT (light day, 87 max), DL: 162 max; Deltoid lateral raises: @17.5lbs (6), @15 lbs 2x6; chin-ups, pull-ups, dips on the bars

Both racks were occupied when I came in, so I started with the OHP, and jerk-cleaning the bar to the chest on the 2x57 lbs actually added fun. By the time I was done with the warm up and the 2x57 OHPs, one of the racks freed up, so I did a set of 60 lbs. The last press was the ugliest one ever, but I still managed my 5 reps.

Deadlift on Madcow 4 sets is getting brutal even at this low weight (162). I am seriously considering going from 4 sets to 3 sets, by using an intermediate weight between the 3 and 4th set. I know, in programme we trust, but I am afraid I will not be able to increase the pull even with longer rests between sets. Argh, hate being a whimp!!!

I am half-inclined to drop by the gym after work to do a HIIT tonight instead of a missed yesterday one, but we shall see how I feel about it at 4:30 pm!!!

Other than that, a walk and a stretch is in order.

In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.

I had a very weird day yesterday. During my stretch routine, all I wanted to do were push-ups. I think I went trough 6 or so sets with stretching in between before I finally got satisfied. Then I went and did a HIIT on the bike, 30 min total, 20 min 30:30 intervals. No HR monitor on the bike I had, but I assume close to last time. Resistance goes up next to L3, because 30:30 was no problem.

Today I am doing my walking, stretching and hell or high water my first swim in new fins (fit much better). The pool is about to get closed for 2 weeks on Fri, so it's my last chance before that to go for a nice swim. Wee!
