Just going to tear into a heavy bag for about 45 minutes![]()
today's work out is to go build a retaining wall in our back yard... I've got to dig out several plants, replant them else where, then lay the foundation and build the retaining wall... going to grab some lunch shortly then its off to work on my Vit D and the wall together!
Deads, squats, rows, presses, pushups followed by tabata stairs. death
It's my day off so I just went barefoot hiking and walked to the store for some strawberries.
In all of the universe there is only one person with your exact charateristics. Just like there is only one person with everybody else's characteristics. Effectively, your uniqueness makes you pretty average.

no joy on that, been lifting since i was 12. I do wonder how long it would take me to get back to benching 450 in sets, but honestly i am not thrilled with that idea. my first goal is to cut down and i put on muscle by sheer force of will it seems sometimes.
one 6 weeks i broadened my back by 3 inches... trust me not what i intended to do.

I did one of my 'track, hunt and bring home the kill' workouts.
'Tracking' is a barefoot (in VFFs) jog, run, jump, crawl, walk, etc. around the neighborhood for 20-30 mins. A functional warm-up and a burst of fresh air. This is me stalking my prey.
'Hunting' is a HIIT workout, usually a tabata (or two). Tonight it was a squat & press with Ripcords, but can be kettlebell swings or snatches, burpees, or any other lung-buster. This is done as soon as I get back at home after 'tracking'. This is me chasing my prey, throwing my spear, bringing the injured beastie down and finishing it off.
'Bringing Home the Kill' is a LHT superset of a pull and a push, usually 3 sets. Tonight it was weighted push-ups and pull ups, but it can also be presses, squats, rows, flyes, deadlifts, etc. I use kettlebells, barbell, Ripcords, a Lifeline Power Push-Up, and tend to do whatever takes my fancy to keep it interesting. This is exactly what it says... carrying the kill back to camp.
The whole thing usually takes about 1 hour, but it isn't timed and I let my body decide how much it needs. Sometimes I really feel like running for miles. Sometimes the 'track' is 10 mins of calisthenics and I rack up the tabatas or the heavy lifts.
CW would say the order is all wrong and that strength training should come first, but Grok can't carry home a beast he hasn't caught yet, can he?
