Totally put off them as a child, they smell disgusting (and yes, a father who died from lung cancer here too. He was a complete bastard so not missed at all, and was a pipe smoker)

Don't smoke 'em myself, but... If it's organically grown, non-GMO leaf, it's totally Primal, amirite?

I smoke cigar's pretty regularly, 3-4 a week, so no quite daily, but almost. I prefer Ashton as my first choice.

From my research of cigars and cancer, it appears there is no correlation between smoking up to one cigar per day and cancer. There are correlatons with people who regularly smoke more than one per day.

I think the daily, unrelenting toxins we are breathing from vehicle and factory emissions and gases given off by pavement are largely responsible for many cancers, which would explain why people who have never smoked get lung cancer.

Plus, most cancer studies seem to focus mainly on cigarette smokers, not cigar smokers (or occasional ones, at that), and cigarettes contain some ridiculous amount, like 400, known carcinogenic chemicals.

Not a smoker, personally. I don't like the smell at all.

However, I can't see the harm in the occasional high-quality cigar. If that's your thing, have at it. I wouldn't do it beyond a few times a month, however.

My dad smoked cigars and pipes for years.

    Died of Parkinson's.

    Anyway...

I grew up loving the smell of cigars and certain pipe tobaccos. He would smoke them when we went to baseball games back in the '70s (it wasn't a big deal back then) so they recall a lot of happy memories for me. Even now, I'll be walking around on my route and start sniffing the air, trying to find that wonderful smell when it hits me.

I don't smoke myself because my neurologist flipped out at just the hint of it for me, but I still love the smell and always will. I'm also not a fan of cigarette smoke. Personal preference, I guess.

I've smoked 1-2 a day for close to twenty years (April-October). Yup, there's a risk involved, no doubt. I feel like the stress reduction involved some what off sets the increased risk for oral cancer. I'm exposing no one but my dog to my second hand smoke so the risk is mine alone. My dentist is well aware of my activities and keeps a close eye on it.

Big fan of most A.J. Fernandez and Pepin Garcia stogies.
