    Blueberry filling question

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification
    Hey everyone!

My hubby's birthday is coming up next week, and I have looked at all kinds of recipes in search of a cake for him. Now he decides he wants blueberry pie. I got the recipe for Almond Flour Pie Crust from Primal Palate, but I'm in need of suggestions for how to prepare my fresh blueberries into a filling. I currently have honey, stevia powder, and maple syrup in the house, but would be willing to buy something else if needed.
    Thanks for the help!

Blueberries in a pot with water. Boil, reduce heat, and stir a lot until blueberries are soft and the water is now syrupy. You can add a sweetener if you'd like (raw honey would probably be best) but I've done fine without.

reduce flesh blueberries, sweeten if necessary, add some gelatin or no sugar needed pectin if you want it thickened.

I would cook them down without adding water just squish them lightly with a potato smasher. You may not need sweetener. If you do maybe just some cooked down apple juice or white grape juice, or raw honey.
