Oh..that sounds sinfully yum-o. I'll have to look for it and thanks!

    Morning all~

I was SO tired yesterday. What made matters worse is that it's a crazy time at work, planning out travel for 5 people and board meetings. I also run a local music show..UGH! Made a point to get 8-9 hours of sleep which was achieved.

    Today's meals

Making my breakfast the biggest protein number of the day and decreasing from then on.

    Breakfast:

    85 grams turkey/chicken
    pat of butter
    EVOO
    Spinach/Kale mix
    Coffee and water

Snacks are fresh snap peas, cukes and small amount of almonds. If I'm very low blood sugar, a spoonful of Tahini.

    Lunch

    Spinach/kale
    50 grams turkey
    mustard
    EVOO
    Water

    Dinner

    Spinach
    20 grams chicken
    EVOO

2 tablespoons of coconut oil before bed to keep me from waking up hungry.
Does that sound like too much Coco oil?

    Workouts

    Am 1 mile walk

    PM Leg day

Lunges, Curls, Weighted Squats, glutes and then 10 min of interval run
    1 hour of walking= 4 miles.

Have you taken that much coconut oil at once before? Some people have adverse digestive effects if they go right to a large amount, especially on its own.
And, wow, that seems like quite a drop in protein amounts from what you were having before. Are you balancing it out with more fat or vegetables? Can't tell the amounts from your list.

    Hi Sabine~

This is certainly alot of work! ha! I have taken alot of CO before and was fine, in fact my body loves it BUT It does make my Cholesterol increase quite a bit and not just the HDL. I love it though!

Yes, there is a HUGE decrease in protein which is why I'm SO hungry. I have been shoveling veggies down my throat like candy but it's not helping. I have also increased my fat but maybe I'm still off...I'm still very fearful of too much fat. I don't do dairy beyond my small pat of butter each morning so my choices are a bit more limited but that is no excuse.

Maybe increase my avocado intake? I shouldn't do more nuts due to Omega 6's and have to watch the CO due to cholesterol. What's a girl to do?

    Morning Primal-Land~

This weekend will be busy. I'll be heading to SA to check on my DAD who recently had surgey. Booking bands for a huge music concert here in Austin, working on SXSW show and doing some combat fitness tomorrow. I also need to get to the shooting range soon!

    What are your weekend plans?

Well yesterday didn't go quite as planned....

Food was fine but the workout just didn't happen. After days of 2-a day workouts, my body needed a complete rest day. I ended up calling it a night when the sun was still out. YIKES. Today I woke up VERY energized at dark-thirty.

Today I meet with my trainer to see how much fat/weight has been lost in nearly two weeks of primal/Ketosis. I'm hoping the BF% is around 19%. The scale can bite me as we all know it's evil mindset.

    Have a spectacular day folks.

    I'll update eats later.

Workout is 90 min of Combat Fitness...Tire flips, military crawls with 30lb sand bags and pull-ups. FUN!

If you are counting sugar free gum as a snack, you are too focused on your food! I would take time off from measuring and relax. Try to eat intuitively rather than making your meals a scientific calculation. Personally, the way you eat is too controlled. Have some fun! By that I don't mean eat crap, I mean don't count everything. 5'9" and 140lbs with all that muscle might not be realistic or healthy. I'd rather have a few extra percentage points of body fat than live with such control over what I ate. That is just me. My goal is to release my grip on food data (fat, calories, carbs, etc), not increase it.

I know that is a remnant of your body building days. I'm an eating disorder kid from the 1980s and I've got my own baggage.

If you want to avoid dairy, buy some grass fed ghee. The taste is wonderful despite the milk solids being gone.

    Pure Indian Foods - A fifth-generation, family-owned ghee business since 1889.

You ask how you can radically change your eating to reach ketosis. You know how. It will just take some time to wrap your mind around the higher fat intake.

Congratulations on your journey. Part of your strength is how you can focus and control your intake and exercise like nobody else. That is also part of your curse! Look for balance. Meditate? Yoga? Massage?
