Isn't it great, how far medicine has come?? A few years back they had no idea that they even needed to look at lymph nodes, then they figured that part out and just randomly removed them. Now they've figured out how to test to see which ones are the primary 'drain' sites from anywhere in our bodies so they only remove the primary ones. That's awesome.

Gwamma, you're right to take this a step at a time. No sense borrowing trouble!! I very much second Badgergirl's suggestion that you look for immersion activities.

Also - when I was a kid my mother used to make me 'egg nogs'. It's not at all what our American friends know, but it was whole milk with eggs whipped into it, vanilla and a bit of sugar. It was my 'sick' food and it always made me feel better! Maybe plan your soft calorie-dense foods around your DH's childhood foods?? Another one was bread and butter pudding, made by my grandfather.

i used to get that too. rice pudding is good. aborio rice. cooked in whole milk with butter added. i always put honey in but you can use sugar. vanilla. you can put some lemon rind in. very yummy and easy to eat way too much of.

i make chocolate sauce to go on the kids icecream which sorta fudges up. which is just honey, you boil it for a little while and it will sorta set on cooling. add in butter, vanilla and cocoa. i could eat it on icecream by the bucket load. but dont make it too toffee like or he will have to suck it. you could also do proper home made fudge. high calorie and easy not to have to chew. tin of evap, 3oz butter, 1lb brown sugar. ice cream and fruit smoothies and it is the start of strawberry season. you can make minced chicken crust meatzas with loads and loads of cheese. they arent overly difficult to chew on either.

just been told that DH has a CT scan booked in for monday. they want to check his head, neck, chest and stomach.
I am presuming that they are looking for secondaries????? but i don't know.
Bad BAD BAD day today. Yesterday before the specialist appointment we spent passing on files to other agents, so I presumed that his work load would reduce............ presumpting is not a grand idea !!!!!!!!
today everything has been happening in the office, and i am confused, and feel so drained. I am thinking that this is DHS way of coping, but crickey dick!!!!!!!11 I am so hoping tomorrow is a slightly more clilaxed day, in between shifting the irrigation, mowing the lawns, and doing housework !!!!!!!!
i have 40 odd people coming for christmas, so have a few chores to do before then. Depending on how next week goes, i might even get a house cleaner in !!!!!!!! heaven forbid !!!!!!!!! we shall see........

    Thanx RR,
A gorgeous day has dawned here in the north of the south, actually we are possibly more smack bang ( in the middle) , but will stick with the north of the south!!!!! I have just shifted all the irrigation, let baby boy off( we are babysitting the goat) , and fed the lamb. I am hoping that today will be a better one for DH, and we might even pop down to see the grandbabies.
Secret time ...[I].....there is possibly another little grandbaby on the way???????? It will only be a blip at the present minute, so lets keep our fingers crossed.
I am wanting DD to tell her father, becos its such exciting newz, however one of the things that he is really upset about is not seeing his grandbabies grow up. Yeah i know we are not anywhere near that scenario yet, but he is convinced that this is the end of the road for him. So this newz might just add to his sorrow??????? Don't know.
Anyhoo we will let this play out as life does, and hope beyond my wildest dreams that this time next year- it will be but a small health scare.
    Have the best day people
