You reminded me of a couple of women I knew in my old hippie days. Deciding to be urban farmers, they bought a bunch of rabbits to raise for food. They named them things like Cacciatore, Fricasse, etc., and raised them on the roof of a warehouse in which we were all living. Come time to eat them, and they just couldn't. Ended up giving them all away as pets.
my lovely cat, who looks just like the cat in Jac's avatar, brought in a tiny little cute flopsy bunny this morning. then proceeded to make it scream. left it twitching on the floor of my bathroom for 5 and then went back and ate its head. all while i was putting my makeup on and doing my hair. you get tough living in the country i can tell you. pet rabbit is an oxymoron too. altho i did buy some 5kg dumbbells off trademe once and the chick i got them from had this huge pet flemish giant rabbit that free ranged around the house. that was really cool. kinda like something out of alice in wonderland. it wouldnt be possible where i am as the cat would get so tormented or she would not be able to help herself and just have it.

Well been there done that !!!!!!!!!
Specialist has taken a huge punch biopsy that needed 4 stitches. DH still needs to have a proper operation to remove the melanoma, but once they know the depth they can then decide if they need to check lympnodes while he is under GA.
If however this biopsy proves to be a non event, then he will have his bigger operation under a local anesthetic. So this waiting is torture, please bear with me.
    Thanx guys

i stuck a steak and red wine diet thru paleo track btw. you could do 500g lean steak, 500ml merlot, 500g of baked potatoes. no added fat. plus 1 c of non fat milk ( something like calcitrim ) in your coffee. and that is about 1546 cals ( 136g P/14g F/130g C ) if you cut the baked potatoes in half to 250g that gives you 1313 cals. or not much of a save. minerals and vits are a bit off. Phos is at 177% RDA with calcium and mag at 42% and 68% respectively. poss a bit more calcium if you use calcitrim. it's not in paleotrack. 2 weeks may be ok. 4 days would be fine. since you can lose weight on twinkies that is.

oops just realised you asked me this in doc's journal!! link to diet that prompted this

I think the old "Businessman's Diet" was just meat and whiskey, or maybe meat, eggs, and whiskey. IOW, it was the low carb thing before Atkins. Subbing the red wine for the whiskey adds a few carbs, but if you kept it dry rather than sweet wines, it wouldn't be too many carbs, and should still work.

Aaagh, one day at a time Gwamma. It sounds like they are keeping you well informed as you go, but it must be agonising. Hugs x

it's not like it's your fault G. and it actual makes your chances of everything alot better if you are nice as you have happy, stressfree vibes which are, funnily enough, way better for you. how are you bearing up? awesome day here. i've just been to the gym and to see my lovely brazillian massage man. i have to work now unfortunately but i may bunk off for 20 mins soon and go lay in the sun and get some vit D. pleased the flock had a lie in LOL my middle dd's alarm on her phone quacks like a duck. we all still get it confused with a real live duck and ignore it sometimes as we have a plethora of neighbouring water fowl. no geese tho.

did you all see the thread in the fitness forum about squats not being so good for your ass? the clip is from a kiwi from dunners no less. he's very technical but it interesting all the same. and alot of it is back to form. my fave laying hammy curls. we always do a lighter weight and keep the hip bone glued to the bench. squats too we always have to do with loads of weight.
