    I have double that.
More than double if you count the duplicate pairs of some favorites I have tucked in the closet for when some of mine die...
They are the ONLY shoes I wear...
I'm a girl so I need multiple colors/styles to choose from...
    It's completely legit.

No I stopped wearing my VFFs everywhere I went ages ago because I stopped living in paleo la-la land. They're nice for trail walking.
You lousy kids! Get off my savannah!

Remember, the important thing isn't being a superior person to everyone else, it's reminding them so that they know.

Dude... VFFs have nothing to do with "Paleo".
I started wearing mine years before I found "TPB"

I wear them because I have a nerve disease and regular shoes cause foot pain, when started wearing VFFs I healed some serious atrophy that had occurred over the years because of disuse from constant pain. And that was with buying "custom fit" support shoes to the tune of about $300 a pop on the advice of doctors, foot specialists, and trainers.

I don't feel obliged to wear shoes that conform to the rest of the worlds view of what a shoe "should" look like.
Paleo has exactly ZERO to do with it.

My husband also wears them... though he took longer to warm up to the idea, and he still has to wear convention shoes to work.
He has had 3 knee surgeries... and has significantly less knee pain when he wears his VFFs vs his conventional shoes.

But hey, different strokes and all.
I do what works for me, silly smug assumptions of others aside...

    Tabio socks

They're a bit pricier than Injinji but far superior in my experience. I had 3 or 4 pairs of Injinjis but they wore out really fast and got REALLY stinky, moreso than any sock I've ever had. They're also pretty much shapeless and don't provide any kind of support.

Tabio's toe socks are a bit more of a hassle to put on, but are really snug and supportive. They also have good grip on hardwood floors etc. They've proved far more durable than the Injinjis, which I'm never buying again. Tossed 'em all out.

(Note: Haven't tried any of the other brands mentioned in the thread)

I just bought a pair of Injinjis yesterday at REI for $10. I use the Injinjis as sock liners, and the SmartWool toe socks for everyday wear. I don't even wear VFF's, but I find that if I wear toe socks under my wool sock while on long hikes, I don't get blisters. I also don't get a nasty rash from the wool sock, so it's a win-win.

Ooh. Those tabio ones do look like they would ventilate nicely. Not to mention some snazzy colors.

I bought mine for trail hiking long before I ever heard of Mark or Primal/paleo stuff.
What is with you and your reverse smug-ism? It's like you have it in your head that all things paleo=smugness so you are being even more smug in the opposite direction. "I *don't* wear VFFs. So there!" Pffft.
