Kefir After Dairy Absitnence
Up until I read PB, I considered myself paleo. I hadn't consumed any dairy in many months until earlier this week when I decided to drink some plain kefir in an attempt to relieve myself of some bloating issues that I've had for a long time.
I usually eat 2 meals per day (one around 11am and one around 7pm) but I've been making it a point to drink between 1 and 1.5 cups of plain kefir in the morning. Since doing so, my stomach feels very acidic, almost like I'm getting heartburn. Also, I've been having other GI issues that I'd rather not share! (Just use your imagination.)
What about my new routine could be doing this? Is it the probiotics? The fact I've consumed more dairy in the past 3 days than I have in the past 3 months? The fact I'm not used to eating so early in the morning?
Any ideas are welcome!

Kefir is pretty acidic. I normally make quark from it rather than drink it as a stand alone. I would mix it in a smoothie with something neutral like a banana.
