CHILL OUT MUSIC - Whats yours?

At the moment I am totally into the Fleet Foxes, and just recently I discovered Eddie Vedder's music for the film 'Into the Wild', Amazing!

What are you happy lot into?

The album "Damnation" by Opeth is pretty chill. That's actually what got me into them (and eventually into metal).

Also "Mahjoun" and "Sailing On" (a cover) by the Derek Trucks Band.

Great band. Lotsa controversy when this came out, though I don't know why their fans were so surprised. If you ever go to one of their shows it's hilarious to see metal heads crossed-armed during the slow parts then slowly amping up and ultimately head-banging to the heavy parts.

OT: There's a shit-ton of music I could put here, but this is as of the last few weeks:

Helios - The Toy Garden - YouTube

Birdy - 1901 [Official Music Video] - YouTube

Mercan Dede - Istanbul - YouTube

Biosphere - The things I tell you - YouTube

Totally agreed, haha. Same thing happened with their latest album "Heritage". It's a slightly different sound and some people just hated it. I think it's awesome. Who wants to hear exactly the same music for years on end?

Meh, I didn't care for Heritage that much but I didn't give it an honest listen either. I'm a big fan of their first 3 albums, so I much prefer their old, more meladic sort of black-metal-ish sound. I wish they'd do some throwback dual-guitar stuff again, but you know, metal!

Several of the tracks on Heritage took a couple listens for me to get where I liked them. But I do love their melodic metal of yore. "Still Life" is a masterpiece. The Moor!!!!!

I tend to listen to angry white boy music. Nine inch nails, tool, Metallica, Godsmack, etc.
