Awesome!
My wife still has a month of HCG left, then I'm hoping she stops.
So, the results. In 2 weeks I lost 9 lbs and the Bod Pod confirms that there was NO muscle cannibalization!! My LBM went down .8 but the guy attributes that to glycogen loss from the low carb. I can't believe it.
Better news? My WEDDING DRESS FITS!!! I zipped it up yesterday morning. There is still work to do but that was one huge step.
@NoSalad, make sure NOT to add HCG under the "to do" portion![]()

@AllBeefPatty, I am hoping she does, too. I am still so worried for her! If she is going to finish it out she has to stay on protocol, do the low carb portion afterward and essentially stay some version of low carb forever or she will gain it all back and have a heck of a time losing it.

No, not at all... *scratches HCG which I pasted*![]()
Three weeks in, 11.5 lbs down! My weight seems to creep up during the week but then manages to get itself back down to the original number and then drop a few -- weird. Maybe I should stay off the scale?
Made Elena's Pantry's "almond joy" bars. I just have a small piece each night but it really helps take away my cravings for a candy bar. I am also IN LOVE with Son of Grok's primal poppers. I have a similar recipe where I stuff the jalapenos with cream cheese and zesty sausage (get rid of the bacon). I tried it with making my own spicy ground beef and just didn't like them as much. Anyway, I can eat them every day and not get tired of them so they have really helped me when I need a snack or a meal I think is really yummy.
Last week I upped my kickboxing (and lowered my walking -- not on purpose) and went four days in a row and had no soreness or real fatigue, so that makes me happy. Maybe I can get back into going more often -- I would really like the toning in my back and legs.
Thank you, PB. Such a difference you have made.

Wow....!
Oooooooookay. Tuesday marked the anniversary of my first full month on Primal. I didn't post then. Why?? Reason No. 1: Because I spent the previous three days in Tucson with my fiance's entire family (flown in from out of town) in a house where the only things served were homemade mac-n-cheese, french toast, fried potatoes, pigs in blankets and carrot cake cupcakes (with only chips as snacks). Literally, the only things to drink were well water, full sugar soda and beer. As you can imagine, I gained nearly 6 lbs. As of this morning 5 or so had FINALLY gone away (after lots of exercise, virtually full carnivore diet and two 17 hour fasts).
Reason No. 2: I didn't have my Bod Pod assessment scheduled until this morning.
One Month Results:
Still 5'9" tall (female)
Starting Weight: 184 Ending Weight: 174.6
Starting BF: 31.29 Ending BF: 28.85
WEDDING DRESS FITS.
No LBM loss to speak of other than expected with some glycogen depletion, holding strong at around 125 lbs.
NEXT GOAL: I would like to get down to 23% body fat, which I should do at around 164, assuming no loss of muscle.
*fingers crossed*

Excellent progress at 2.44% body fat lost in 30 days! Keep up the good work. It looks like you can reach your goal at that pace in a little over 2 months. Very much doable. When is the wedding?

Thanks Beef Cake!! I appreciate it.
The wedding isn't until November 7so I have some time (although dress fittings will start October 7). As you may have seen from my first post, however, I felt a need to go at it hard early b/c my body became resistant to losing weight after essentially starvation from the HCG diet (so stupid) despite the fact that I trained like an athlete and watched my calories -- it was just terrified that I was going to starve it again and shut down in terms of weight loss. Then came PB ... !
I think I am going to try to go another full month as primal as I can (save for a bit of cheese and dark chocolate (just like last month and minus the Tucson debacle) to see if I can knock out some more of the weight. Summer is coming and I would like to "relax" a bit from time to time but not so much that I stall my weight loss completely. One would think I could lose even the full 10 lbs or so by the end of September even going something more like 90/10 but who knows?
