    I seem to have been sucked into a debate about this. I have a friend saying that its healthier to go back before there was fire and we weren't eating meat.

    Homo sapiens didn't invent cooking with fire, so it's silly to go back further than cooking with fire because there was no us before then.

    This is a total in the dark guess, but I'd guess meat has been eaten long before there was even fire

    - Canine/Incisor teeth
    - Can't digest cellulose
    - Pure animal attraction to the smell of meat on the BBQ...
