I'm really falling in love with old german cars and wishing I had your knowledge. Where did you learn to work on cars?

I too prefer german cars - Mercedes Benz or BMW - in that order. Audi's are great cars too, but I have a very bad experience with the dealership. So I will try to avoid them next time I buy. In regards to how I learned to work on cars... I've always been interested in picking things apart. Eventually I learned that it also was nice to fix it after picking it apart. So from I was "knee high to myself" (to quote batty), I was watching my dad fix his cars, and my father in law is also very much into fixing cars. It's really just a question about necessity and diving in there. It helps to have a work shop manual and begin with the easy stuff. Eventually you work up a base to where you can do more complicated stuff.

    Basics
So very tired ... kids are sick with some stomach flu, or something. Not much sleep last night.

    Food
IF'ed for breakfast and had four chicken breasts for lunch plus a measly salad. Until dinner I snacked on some almonds and 70% that was shockingly sweet. Dinner was a four egg omelet with sweet bell peppers. That's all I had to eat today, been a looong time since I've been so low in cal.

    Supplements
    2000 mg Multivitamin
    1500 mg Superba Krill Oil
    100 g (4000 IU) Vitamin D
    400 mg Magnesium
    800 mg Calcium
    750 mg Vitamin C

    Training
Nothing much, I fixed the brake line and did the last calliper on the car. Afterwards I bled the brakes and for that I had to lift the car up on four axle stands - used a jack obviously - and bleed right rear, left rear, right front and left front brakes. Then back on with the wheel (lift heavy things) and moved slowly around the car... Going to polish of with 3 x 30 pushups, I think.

    Random Thoughts
Glad the brakes are fixed finally and the test I did afterwards showed that the brakes were in mint condition, same with the hand brake. No f00d pr0n today either. Thanks for reading!

Slept well, and was woken up by the alarm clock at 05:30 which was promptly turned off and forgotten about. Next thing I knew the time was 06:40. Whoops. Got a bit busy and headed to work, and straight into a traffic jam. Bleh! Talk about cortisol spike.

    Food
IF'ed for breakfast, but had a cup of coffee at work. Lunch was ten chicken wings and a chicken thigh. Dinner was cod with bacon and broccoli. Boring food I know, and hence no pr0n today either. I need to fire up the grill tomorrow. What I am going to do with myself coming autumn and winter I don't know. I might need to get a gas grill. *cringe. Oh, forgot to add that I had two small handfuls of almonds during the day as well. Macros are approximately 100 gram fat / 150 gram protein / 10 gram carbs and about 1500 kcal. Weigh in on Friday to see if this does anything for me.

    Supplements
    2000 mg Multivitamin
    1500 mg Superba Krill Oil
    100 g (4000 IU) Vitamin D
    400 mg Magnesium
    800 mg Calcium
    750 mg Vitamin C

    Training
    25, 20, 20 push-ups, 3 x 30 seconds prone bridge. 3 x 10 leg assisted pull ups.

    Random Thoughts
Miss the gym, need to get my act together and get started with SL 5 x 5 again. It was soo good for me.

Thanks for reading! Hope your day is good!

Thanks - I did today. Went to the gym and started again. Oh, man I felt so weak. I dropped 20 lbs on the weights and still it was pain. Ah, well - I am sure I'll get back to par again real quick. I am in no hurry though. It will take it's time.

    Basics
Slept like a baby all night and woke up at an ungodly time of 05:30, by the alarm which was promptly turned off. Again. Woke up at 06:40 Ahhhhh - much better. Took my car to the MOT or road worthyness test and it passed with flying colours. The mechanic wondered and asked - you've done the brake job yourself, eh? He could tell, because it was done so well.

Time to pat my self on the back, I guess.

    Food
IF'ed for breakfast with only a cup of coffee and some almonds right before lunch which was 20 broiled chicken wings. Was not satiated after that and felt hungry until I came home and roasted a rib eye in the electric oven in the kitchen. It wasn't bad, but it was certainly not grilled. There is something special about fire...

Not so much f00d pr0n, but it was good.

    Supplements
    2000 mg Multivitamin
    1500 mg Superba Krill Oil
100 g (4000 IU) Vitamin D - no sun today. Cooped up in the office and it was pouring down.
    400 mg Magnesium
    800 mg Calcium
    750 mg Vitamin C

    Training
StrongLifts 5 x 5 A - felt weak, and dropped off 20 lbs of the weights. Wasn't too bad though.

    Random Thoughts
I jumped the gun on the weigh in this morning as I was another notch in on the belt and I had to check what was going on. Monday I was 184.1 lbs. Today I was 180.1. I am a lean, mean fat burning machine.
