The 18% gal is a suit model with no lifting muscle.
I'd like to see the 15% gal with 18-20% fat... THAT would be HOT!

    Just sayn.

And that's why I'm here eating HFLC Primal/Paleo.

Leida, then you need a new doc. Mine takes time for her patients.

As for visible muscle, that depends on the man. My guy likes my quads and biceps.

yes, as my husband has told me: "Instead of lifting weights, what do you think about taking one of those stripper classes?" *Snort* yes master, i live to serve!
My husband actually loves my shoulders and traps as they are shaping up now, but he is expressly against the ribs sticking out and has the primal attraction to the thighs. (I have to admit that in a certain get up with certain shoes I look erm sumptuous) We make a totally odd couple when we do a gym date. He heads for the treadmill upstairs I ran to the squat rack.

Leida, then you need a new doc. Mine takes time for her patients.
I am in Calgary, AB! I am lucky to have a doctor! I tried a new clinic in the new neiborhood, a year in, my new doc left, they could not schedule me for physical for 5 months, scheduled me, after 1 hr wait told me that the doc is not coming and no other doc in the clinic would sub for my 5 min physical(!!!), so I gave up and went to my old doctor who is a specialist in 2 min check-ups. Calgary is CRAZY. I nailed my foot with a frozen primal roast and spend 5 hrs in ER bleeding all over, with 3 people casually asking me if they gave me something for the pain, and venturing away after I told them "no" through gritting teeth. I only managed to get the drugs when they actually operated! In Calgary, to stay healthy you do not get sick.

I saw a sports registered dietitian and a nutritionist before, but I only found my problems through reading and research and self-experimentation. The specialists just give you the same advice as CW.

Hey, didn't say I wasn't lean looking? I am slim, and getting slimmer at a really pleasing rate for me (had a baby 5mo ago, slimmest I've been in 8yrs now...), I just literally don't have the same bone structure or shape - I'm a bigger, curvier person. Could be just as lean, but I'm always going to be bigger than her. I think some people who aren't her body shape naturally will work themselves into an early grave trying to achieve it....they really need to accept that everyone is different. I know *plenty* of people with her bodyshape who are nowhere near a raw diet!

For me I think restriction is what made every other diet/plan I followed fail. Reading mark's recent post about the differences in men and women really brings it home to you - any restriction and women more than men will go into panic mode and try to hold on to resources for the sake of the baby they *might* have.

That sucks, but that is not all of Canada or even Alberta. I'm also in AB and have a great doctor and can generally see her the same week I call for an appointment, sooner if it's urgent.

Leida, I live in Calgary and have had no issues with healthcare or Doctors taking the time to chat. Try the Salveo clinic- they are in the basement of the Chinook centre. About 5 doctors and they happily sub for each other - all willing to talk - not exactly paleo but when the last one saw my blood work she frowned at the LDL and total but my HDL was twice the number of my triglycerides she just shrugged and said OK. I told them up front the first time I went in that I wasn't big on 'pills'.
Calgary emergency uses a triage system so the more life threatening the injury the faster you get looked at. I had an Intestinal blockage this summer. In emergency I was in front of the triage nurse within 5 minutes and in front of a doc and prepped for a scan within an hour. They didn't operate for a few days as I wanted to see if it would resolve itself but when I said OK to go ahead I was operated on with in 2-3 hours. Other situations have been good as well - perhasp I am just lucky.
Your other alternative for emergency(assuming nonlife threatening) if you are on the west side of the city is to drive to Canmore Hospital - very good Docs and usually very short wait times. Cochrane emergency care is good too but no hospital.

i know i wouldn't feel good on a raw diet, at all... i would feel faint, weak, and tired. that is how i feel when i don't eat meat..
if i accidentally skip meat for breakfast and lunch, i get really weak feeling.

This is why we women tear our hair out. Guys say how stupid and thin someone is, but they'd hit it anyway.
5'0" female, 42 years old. Started Primal October 31, 2011, at a skinny fat 111.5 lbs. Low weight: 99.5 lb on a fast. Current weight: 105.5 lbs because of sugar cheating.

MY PRIMAL: I (try to) follow by-the-book primal as advocated by Mark Sisson, except for whey powder and a bit of cream. I aim for 80-90 g carb/day and advocate a two-month strict adjustment for newbies. But everybody is different and other need to tweak Primal to their own needs.

I wasn't speaking for all guys, just me. If you want to worry about what "guys" (as in all guys) think, yes, you'll go mad.

I remember when I did raw--tons of energy, but a perpetual feeling of "emptiness." Not exactly hunger, but just like something was missing. Plus I gained weight. I did eat raw dairy though and some seafood. Primal is the only diet (and I've tried them all), where I can stay lean and fit without starving myself. Nothing is more satiating to me than fat, and I really don't eat very much food--I don't need to. I wish I was as thin as the girl in the video, but with all the climbing and whatnot that I love to do, I would be way too weak with her lack of muscle and it just wouldn't be worth it.

Not to mention that I don't like fruit and very rarely touch it unless it's an avocado or tomato!
