So I bought a total of 10 lbs of New Zealand grass-fed butter (I emailed, they responded... Yes, it is grass-fed. In NZ, that's how they just normally raise cows) at Grocery Outlet for half of what I usually pay at Trader Joe's.

Tonight, we went out for prime rib. OMG. It was fabulous. I did cut off most of the fat, as it wasn't grass-fed, but the meat was like butter... and neither of us ate more than a couple of forkfuls of the garlic mashed potatoes. They were like.. yeah, but how about that prime rib? so we filled up on meat.

We were celebrating. My husband hit a jackpot at the casino, and it was pretty nice. So... I got a new purse, and we ate dinner out, and then we played a little bit, and I won a nice bit, and put it in my wallet, and said "time to go home"

We're frantically trying to find someplace fun to go (with our bikes) tomorrow, and escape the Logger's Playday (parade route is practically in front of our house. Sigh. Not really all that fun) madness that is our town. Thinking about Seaside, OR.

Oh, I hope you didn't go to Seaside or Long Beach! Big car events in both towns this weekend!
Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

    Hello RaeVynn

Greetings from an old fart up in Canada. I enjoy your posts and wish you the best. I have absolutely no advice to offer, since I'm still struggling with my own issues. I hope you hang in there, and I will be following your progress.

    Later...

    Dan

Hi Dan, and Snoop! Glad to meet you. Thanks for the kind words, Dan.

Yes, Honeybuns, we went to Seaside. OMG the people!!! *gasp* However, it wasn't too bad biking around... we did a bit over 12 miles, a few miles of which were straight uphill! It was a fun run done the hill, though *grin*.. and we had a lovely dinner at the Bigfoot Restaurant. They swapped out the potatoes for extra veggies, no trouble at all.

This^^^Mindful vs Mindless. So many people try to make tracking sound like an obsessive compulsive disorder. It doesn't need to be. Some people are OCD. Always have been and always will be whether they track food or not. For the rest of us calorie/macro tracking is a great tool.

It's great to see you making such good progress, Raevynn. Keep it up.

I have to be sure to have some Natural Calm & C, pretty much every evening. It's been a couple of days, and things are not moving as freely as I think they should. More fat (MOAR FAT!!) should be managing this, but for my entire life, I've had difficulties in this area. So, NC & C for me.

    225.2 lbs

Yesterday I spent two solid hours engaged in a space clearing/blessing ritual, in a huge old building (up and down stairs, etc.)... afterwards, I was so drained, we opted to go out for Mexican. So, yes, I'm bloated this morning. PUFAs, and corn tortillas, and OMG I ate 4 chips. And so much sodium! And, I go back in two weeks to complete the work (hopefully).

I hopped into a cool shower this morning. Not straight cold, no, but OMG!! yeah... it woke me up.

I didn't know that you did those--very cool. I have some friends who are very involved in our local Pagan community, and I was thinking of asking them to bless the next place we move into (which will hopefully be *our* house, not just a rental).

I'm an agnostic theist with Christian and Buddhist tendencies, but I love the ritual practices of the Pagan/Wiccan traditions and always feel deeply blessed when I am invited to join my friends' circles. I attended an amazing Winter Solstice ritual last winter that took my breath away.
