And your point is? I don't get how you can run in shoes.

Wow, some of you guys are totally obsessed. I am a beer drinking, carb eating machine, at times. And at 41 years old in the best shape of my life. This whole primal thing is speculation as well, don't get brain washed, as some of you already are. Eat a pizza! or something to relieve your pent up anger.

For a newbie, you sure have all the answers~ Maybe some of us have *been there, done that* when we were 41, before our bodies started fighting back! You think Primal is just speculation? WAIT.

was trying to reassure you that you don't need grains and conventional carbs to complete endurance events.

and you don't know how I can run in any shoes or just vibrams? My running group is convinced I'm going to break down like a racehorse every time I slip on my komodos! I feel stronger and more efficient in them than regular toe corsets.

Do you mean you've completed marathons and 50k just skin on asphalt? I think that's even more brutal than vibrams!

Irony. Your first post asserts what you are doing, knowing that it's not primal and likely to come under criticism.

Then, when you receive the criticism that you expect for asserting what you are going to do (when most of us really don't care what another person does, as you noted in the first few responses), then you bleat that we are obsessed and should eat a pizza? Honestly, makes no sense.

Here is the bottom line. I don't really give a crap what you (or anyone else) eats. But if you want information on being primal as a distance runner (even if you choose to have pizza and beer when you want or whatever), then we can help you with that.

But providing you with information in alignment with the primal blueprint is what you are going to get. So if you think that is obsession, or will always characterize it that way, then maybe you shouldn't ask for that information and insight.

Get another pizza, bagel and beer and just so you are not missing out make sure it's the full gluten white processed stuff, make sure it is from one of those factory chains as well where it is fortified with soy & canola too.

You're on the primal forum so you're bound to find people who follow primal!!

Brainwashed? No, 2 years following conventional low fat dieting got me nowhere whereas the change in 14 weeks following primal has been amazing.

Enjoy your pizza and beer if that's what makes you happy

Yes I run completely barefoot, skin to ground. It so much more comfortable than footwear. I ran my first marathon in Vibrams.
