Was going to ask about this the other day. Better to go to your local health food store and look for straight up monk fruit extract/sweetener (no added ingredients). I think I saw some at mine.

I work here and I say...AVOID IT!
Even assuming it were really just "pure monkfruit extract", then wouldn't it still be an example of a highly concentrated sugar that's removed from its natural state and devoid of complementary vitamins, fiber, etc.?

I'll stick with stevia, though I rarely have the need to sweeten anything. My sweet "desserts" usually just consist of having a bit of fruit.
I've seen monk fruit as a sweetener in the sugar free version of a coconut milk ice cream I used to eat. Tasted exactly like their sugar-included version.
"We need another three million dollars to satisfy the stockholders. Let's suck all the sugar out of something and call it a new sweetener."
