I'd say if you are just using it as an ingredient, it really doesn't matter much what brand. I compared Nescafe to Via once and thought Nescafe was better.
Not looking to go to some smarmy fancy place to buy coffee beans from some pure untouched by the Hans of man valley. Just a possible brand of cheap coffee I can mix into homemade ice cream and the occasional smoothie or cup of coffee. Would Folgers work or should I go a tad bit higher in quality?

I make a lot of coffee ice cream and we use Starbucks brand Via in decaf. Then end product is tasty. I use about one of the packets for a 1 1/2 qt ice cream batch. People freak out how good it tastes. You can buy small packs of 4 or so , so try it out and find your favorite. They have more flavors in the car vs the decaf.

I think Trader Joe's has an instant coffee
...Nescafe Colombian (blue jar) is my favourite -- better than brewed coffee to me!...hebs![]()
Another vote for Nescafe. Their columbian is delicious.
Or buy a bag of some Italian espresso and brew some of that up. That is some tasty, tasty stuff.
My vote goes to 8'oclock coffee, not great, but better then most name brands and fairly cheap. If you have a Trader Joes near you their Bay Blend is excellent. Don't know much about decaff.
