Kinsey test is hard! What if you have never turned your mind to some of the issues in there? I need to go take a quiet moment to think about the threesome question and do it again!

i scored a 3 as well
and i used to wonder if i was also attracted to women because of my high testosterone. but who knows
and my opinion, and it's only an opinion, i think homosexuality in all the animal species is just a manner of population control. nothing mystical, just mother nature being efficient
of course, man nosing in everything and being a general control freak messes it all up

beautiful
yeah you are
would youuuu like a discount?
me too, I mean three. Speaking of three, threesomes are fun and all, but eventually the heart prefers, at least this one does, a bit of commitment and, well, human relationships are complicated enough without adding extra participants. That said, I often wonder if that urge to merge will disappear once family duties are out of the way. Mind you, husband is a very patient and understanding chap, I doubt many men or any woman would be willing to put up with me.
Hooray Picaro!
I was thinking as I answered the questions that it was an awfully short test, and that the possible outcomes were a bit limited... but I think it gets in the general area of where you are on the scale anyway.
I personally see the scale as more of a 0-100 type of thing because there is way more variation than that short version allowed for IMO/IME.
Our body is our subconscious mind, and anybody who thinks that their conscious mind is running the show is seriously mistaken. In fact the conscious mind just may be the most narcissistic entity in the universe, it thinks it's running the show. It's not.

The test is definitely too short, IMO, to figure out some people as sexuality is way more fluid than it takes into account. It pegged me as unusual, which may well be the case if compared to averages, although I don't think I'm all that unusual. Above are my answers. I am exclusively attracted to men but I don't find the idea of having sex with another woman repulsive and if it were an orgy situation I wouldn't have an issue, might well enjoy sex with another woman but it's not something I would actively seek out. Is there such thing as Bi-indifferent?
As for the question about sexual submissiveness, not really sure what that's about unless it's from the very vanilla perspective of women being the submissive ones. And the question about being sexually attracted to anyone under the right circumstances, I may be defining 'anyone' more broadly.
I think there are a few things at play, but love and attraction are very complex. I think sex is just one part of a dynamic of a relationship. I'm very hetero, lol as evidenced by the quiz. And I prefer men sexually, would not consider women. But I also like the company of men and prefer a man as a partner. Yes, obvious.... sex= me and a guy. But also, throughout my life- I could never get along with female roommates. I prefer working with men, etc.
I think though sometimes sexual preferences don't line up with your actual partner preference. But I don't think a preference on the mechanics of sex is the main driver.
There is a lot to relationships beyond mating and creating children. Like I don't want kids- I have no drive to make babies, yet I still have a strong sex drive and a strong desire to be with someone. I think companionship and security drive relationships as much as a desire to make babies. It makes sense that some women prefer the companionship and security of being with a woman; and some men, its men.
Sounds like a great book! I'll see if I can get it from work (uni library).
I'd love to add my piece to this thread, being homoflexible and also having done massive research on human sexuality, but there is only so much time in the day.
Looks like people have a good grasp on the facts that sexuality is fluid and on a continuum, and that humans have observed similar flexibility in many species, which implies that it is both biological and beneficial.
I did notice some using the word preferred in terms of one's sex partner. Knock that off! It's tough enough dealing with ignant folks that think we're just sinful perverts choosing a lifestyle. No one prefers a life that comes with abuse, ostracism, death threats, etc. We're hard-wired the way we are, but it's hard for some folks to get that it's not just black/white gay/straight male/female.
