    Pee . . . a lot!

Has anyone noticed that when their stomach is very empty they have to pee often? I'm trying a new eating schedule where I'm not eating breakfast because I get terribly sleepy about a half hour after I eat. All I have until about 11 am is a cup of coffee with about 2 Tbls. of heavy whipping cream and 1 Tbl. of unflavored gelatin. The problem seems to improve after I eat a meal.

I imagine it's the coffee (being a diuretic) that's making you pee so much.

    EXPERIMENT
Stop the coffee for a few days and see what happens.

Empty stomach this happens with or without coffee if you are drinking plenty of water. It's not an issue really. With food water is absorbed more particularly with carbs.

You get sleepy after every meal? Any idea as to why this is?

Was going to ask "Pregnant?" before I saw "Coffee". I'm banking on coffee.

I normally get sleepy after every meal as well. Unless I eat little amount of pure protein, then I am wired instead. For any carb or fat makes me sleepy for at least 30 minutes then the sleepy wave just seems to disappear. Its wierd.

I would have suspected the coffee too but the empty stomach-peeing often started a long time ago.

Oddly, it's only after breakfast. Anyone might occasionally get sleepy after a heavy lunch or dinner too but this is consistant and I can time it's arrival by the clock. When I was eating breakfast it was heavy on protein and, since I'm trying to lose weight, very low carbs. Have no idea why it happens.

I have no idea. When I was eating breakfast it was high in protein and very low, carbs since I'm trying to lose weight. And, it only happens after breakfast.

The problem started long before the coffee. Whenever my stomach had been empty for long enough, even with no coffee, I'd start running to the bathroom about every half hour.
