Oh just thought of another one. I call it Primal Special K. Essentially toasted coconut chips/flakes with heavy cream.
The Primal Junk Foodie: Primal Special K
Primal granola made with toasted nuts and seeds- wonderful stuff. There are many good recipes in the recipe thread.
From the store- rice crispies or rice chex are a good 'bridge' food until you lose your cereal urge. I switched my girls over to them from wheat and corn cereals, and they don't seem to trigger the desire for more, more, MORE the way wheat/corn cereals do.

Half of these ideas sound gross and nothing like real cereal. Sometimes when I am craving cereal I have one made with buckwheat, by arrow something. Tasty. Once and a while is fine.
I like to start my day with a nice double shot of silver 100% agave tequila. Mark says it's primal.
Once in awhile, though, I forget and just have coffee.
You feeble.
I don't think cereal is particularly primal ... but neither do I think Grok was walking around sipping Merlot and nibbling on a 70% dark chocolate bar ...
My opinion: choose a cereal with ingredients you can live with, and stop worrying about it.
I strongly disagree with this. Finding the "least bad" awful thing is still an awful thing.
Stop buying the damn cereal. If you don't have it, you can't eat it. If you're doing Primal properly, you shouldn't even want cereal. If you put bread, pasta or cereal in front of me it just looks gross and tastes like cardboard - and as an Italian from South Jersey, I lived on this stuff every day of my life as staples.

You could always make your own cereal from quinoa. I googled a few recipes and there are some really nice ones out there that you can top with coconut milk :-) I loved cereal as it was so quick and easy and I can't do too much protein in the morning as my gag reflex kicks in strong! If I feel like cereal I either have the quinoa cereal (pre-made, covered and kept in the fridge) or I will boil up some rice the night before and have it cold or heated in the morning topped with coconut milk and maybe some fruit :-)
