Cold water to minimize inhalation of chlorinated steam. Mmm, chlorine in the lungs. Awesome.

    I'm sticking with filtered water...
    HOT, lovely, filtered water.

And that's why I'm here eating HFLC Primal/Paleo.

Thanks for the ideas about water and washcloths for washing my 'pits' etc... I hadn't thought of that.

I'm not looking at bathing in mud/minerals to replace my normal showering... but it was an idea to have like a treat, like a spa treatment, at home, that is ACTUALLY good for me, incorporating the healing benefits of magnesium and iodine and other minerals that can be transdermally absorbed.

I take mag bath soaks pretty regular.
In that nice filtered water... it's lovely.

    And yes, I'm a pansy!
I live in FL... even the swimming water here is dangerously warm during the summer months.

buy a filter for the house or at least the bath faucet.

this is a good primer for making a bath soak:

The Natural Beauty Workshop: How to Make Bath Salts

get iodine from food -- shellfish and seafood. it stains your skin and can cause all sorts of damage if you overconsume. stop reading that iodine thread.

turmeric and ginger are very healthy, but best absorbed internally. eat them.

eat liver, eggs and bone broth. preferably not in the tub. that's just weird.

As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.
