My friend Joe Grubb is hiking the entire Appalachain Trail to raise awareness for the Elevate Hope Foundation, which helped abused children. The benefit for his Hike for Hope is tonight @ Sakitumi restaurant in the Vista of Columbia SC.
I don't know if there are any Primal people in the area, but there are come out for a good time and support the cause!! The benefit starts at 9:30pm!
He will also be keeping a video blog through the website. A bunch of us are planning on hiking parts of the trail with him. I'm hoping I can do it before I leave for LDAC. He has been working very hard on this and has received some great sponsors, including Patagonia & Probar.

We're designed to be hunters and we're in a society of shopping. There's nothing to kill anymore, there's nothing to fight, nothing to overcome, nothing to explore. In that societal emasculation this everyman is created. ~David Fincher, director of Fight Club, interview with Gavin Smith, "Inside Out," Film Comment, Sep/Oct 1999
