The silliest thing I saw as I drove across country was on one side of the interstate were fields of hay being grown and on the other side were cows eating hay and sitting on mountains of shit with other mountains of shit outside their pens covered in plastic and tires. How much fossil fuel did it take to move the hay to where the cows were and then move all their shit into piles and cover the piles with plastic? Wouldn't it make more sense to just let the cows into the hay fields?
