Well done Jojo! That's so awesome and exciting. Yay!
Went Primal on 1st April 2012
Since beginning Primal:
- The stomach cramps I'd been having have vanished.
- People comment that my skin is glowing.
- I enjoy getting out of bed (most of the time)
- I'm so excited by food.
Day 16 of Whole30
Mmm steak. Man, this piece was too small. Ended too soon
BUT I came up with my answer to "Sidekicks". The carrots I made tasted just like Chicken flavoured Sidekicks, so good! And good for you! Here's my recipe.
Day 18 of Whole30
Everything tastes SO GOOD! Dang, the whole30 really might change my life. Here's some food I ate today.
Coconut cajun fish sticks with butternut squash chips
Although very interesting I am not sure I can regularly read your log as it just makes me hungry.
I am holding out for the invention of smellavision, that should make those pics come to life.
I visited Ontario on a rugby tour. We played Saltfleet, Notre Dame, Highland and some other large peeps. Never before had I played in 2 inches of snow....good times.
Thanks for stopping by Richardmac. Glad you like the pics :P
Also, if you like 2 inches of snow try checking out some of the other provinces. Lol Ontario doesn't even BEGIN to have snow in comparison!
Day 25 of Whole30
So quick check in! Whole30 is still going strong. I've learned a lot and enjoyed a lot of it, but I'm definitely looking forward to it coming to an end soon. I really miss my dairy. Life is okay without cheese, but very sad without sour cream. Didn't realize how much I relied on it. I could also really go for some ooey gooey cheese, and some dessert smoothies with vanilla.
If you're interested I've got a bit more to say here, plus the ingredients the food below. For now, enjoy some food porn!
Shrimp fried cauliflower rice
Vietnamese Beef Curry Stew
Sweet Bacon Chicken Cabbage “Pasta”
Tricolour pasta! Carrots and green and yellow zucchini noodles made with a regular vegetable peeler.
I love pasta. The primal way
I finished the Whole30!! Yay! I also reintroduced diary today, which was oh so yummy (I really missed dairy!!) and so far no majorly terrible side effects! Yessss. I've posted a lot more on my blog as I find that format a little easier to deal with, so there's more stories and details over there. Here's some food porn from the last few days.
Buttery cabbage ribs - not bad but kind of a disappointment. Not GREASY enough lol.
Sweet BBQ Ribs - much better, I added lots of extra grease!!
Kick ass breakfast salad
My favourite fish recipe, "Yellow" Fish. Marinaded in coconut milk, garlic, ginger, turmeric, TINY bit of mustard, and lemon/lime juice, then baked in the oven. My go-to fish recipe. Served over coconut oil stir-fried cabbage and vegetables.
