So Steve Kamb from Nerd Fitness has put together this awesome challenge that involves walking to Mordor (Lord of the Rings).
The group spreadsheet is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...JMXJwT1E#gid=0
I recommend reading his blog post first to learn more about this killer challenge: A Hobbit's Guide to Walking | Nerd Fitness

Me too!
Just signed up. This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for and didn't even know it. Thanks!
I like the idea! Already doing much the same for another challenge here on MDA--all except the barefoot stuff, that is. I've been tracking my walks since November, and come to think of it I've actually listened to the whole set of LotR and Silmarillion audiobooks in the process. Have to add it all up and see how far I've made it!
Is that really 3,664 miles total?
Now I know why it took 3 really long movies!
And why Randal was right... 3 really long movies about walking.![]()
Our body is our subconscious mind, and anybody who thinks that their conscious mind is running the show is seriously mistaken. In fact the conscious mind just may be the most narcissistic entity in the universe, it thinks it's running the show. It's not.

And that's why I'm here eating HFLC Primal/Paleo.
Started today. 2.5 miles, in the rain. Without an umbrella. Whoops.
