[quote]

For me THE PB isn't VLC or low calorie for me (as I eat a lot and average about 100g carbs a day from veggies, tiny bit of fruit and a bit of dairy) so I'm sticking around here as I am feeling the best I have in a long time. I eat when I'm hungry (which is a lot less now)and feel great.

Me too, so whether he is right or wrong about VLC, it doesn't matter for us, and he has never said eating grains is necessary for health. We can live well without them.

I was under the impression that insulin resistance stems from chronicly elevated insulin levels that accompany the five-six (or one or two as the case may be!) carbohydrate loaded meals a day people have been told to eat. Kind of along the same lines that resistance to everything occurs - chronic stimulation of receptors.

Now the country is leptin resistant and the mad search for the cause is the next quest according to this guy? I'll think I'll stick with Dr. Eades' logic and clinical experience. At least he doesn't look "puffy" ;-)

The best thing to do with him is to ignore him.

    Primal Blueprint Expert Certification

Good point from the guy on the freetheanimal site. I ate all sorts of junk when I was in my 20's and managed to stay slim. Bang, by 30 I had put on over 50lbs in 1 year! Thought I knew it all back then, but in my 40's I am much humbled. Poor Matt might have some harsh lessons coming his way.
