So I was listening to Leigh Peele's podcast, and she mentioned how many women who drop carbs and do an intensive strength training program lose their periods. I have never seen this discussed before, but was shocked to see that it is a relatively common occurrence.

Who is Leigh Peele? Do you have a link to her podcast?

http://www.leighpeele.com/ Leigh is a fatloss guru who specialises a little in women who have been undereating and/or overexercising for a long time. You should be able to find the podcast in the archives or itunes.

    Thanks Jedi.

Leigh doesn't seem to like Gary taubes - she said on her podcast that he cherry-picked the research for his book. Alan Aragon doesn't seem to like him either.

yeh, its not the first time she has shouted down Taubes! she isn't scared of airing her opinions I have a lot of time for alan aragon as he really is a thoughtful and in depth researcher, in my experience. I amjust reading Taubes now so haven't yet formed an opinion myself.
