If you google "squatting toilet," you'll find a bunch, from platforms that help you attain a near squatting position on your own toilet to full on squat toilets.

That's right, this thread is for takin a shiet in a primal way.
Squatting ofcourse. I feel like i have lsot the ability to take a crap normally, my defecation urges just aren't as strong and i feel i need to make a drastic change, i need some oomph. I want to avoid expensive doctor consultations and tests etc and just give squatting a really good shoot to see if i have improvements in constipation. I think my constipation is more mental/physical rather then diet based. Particularly mental. I just think about it too dame much! Takign a crap requires no thought!
So, my question is, anyone have similiar experiences and what they may have read/done to alleviate the problems? Who squats or has recently swapped to squatting and what have they noticed?
I see people mention ways to just raise the legs but i feel like you must get the full squat motion and full lock at the knees to be properly squatting, so just raising my legs doesn't seem adequate, or is it?
Any tips on squatting on a conventional seat? I gave it a quick go at home but i just couldn't work out how i could relax enough to release as my legs were tense to balance myself! Also peeing seemed like it would be tricky..
I'm contemplating building something custom or squattypotty but i wonder if i can stand on that or is it just intended to raise the legs..

It's probably too obvious, but this could be construed as a shitty topic.![]()
Now your just talking shiet..
Thanks for the link!![]()
I saw about the Squatty Potty not long ago and have adopted my own form (I'm a DIYer) - an old ottoman that I take into the bathroom and just sit down, and prop my feet up on. It's level with the toilet seat so I assume a squat position easily with it. I don't like just sitting now. It does actually make things easier in my experience. Good luck!

I think i will take the DIY approach and build something like the linke Joaniel's posted. Seems fairly straightforward and can build it probably for half the price and no risk!
The squattypotty seems to just prop the legs up but you remain seated? That's not really what i'm hoping to try, i want actual squat motion but would be interesting to know if squattypotty does bring benefits regardless..
I've been experiencing the joys of pregnancy pooping (or, rather, not pooping). I've taken to borrowing my daughter's step stool to help get into a good squat on the toilet. Boy does it do wonders! $5 at Walmart. Great investment. Go get yourself one.

the guy from Underground Wellness did something on this. He recommended a milk crate to stick your feet up on.
Why use a sledge hammer to crack a nut when a steam roller is even more effective, and, is fun to drive.
