One thing I have learnt from reading the PB book, is not be freak out if I miss a meal. CV says you have to keep eating to keep your metabolism firing. But Mark is right is saying it doesn't make evolutionary sence for the human to eat his own muscle and have no energy if there is a day with out eating.. Infact, one has more energy.. probaby to keep gathering and hunting for food. More importantly, I've overcome a fear of fasting by understanding it intellectually thanks to Marks book.
