I still think it's a lot more complicated than that. And the POD is not a BEAN. And it can be eaten raw. Unless someone has actual evidence that the pod has the same lectins etc. as the bean, I think giving up green beans (a versatile, low-carb vegetable) is excessively purist. (But that's something a lot of people here seem to be into, far more than Mark.) Broccoli and cauliflower and spinach are goitrogenic so I don't want to be eating those all the time.
