    Work is play

We took some time today to harness up our farm horse, Kate. She's just about saddle-trained, so it's time to get her used to pulling something. She'll get work harness this fall and start helping out on the farm (aside from providing manure).

It takes awhile to get her ready & harnessed, and you have to have your head in a good place to work calmly with her, but she's got a great personality and the time was well spent. It's kind of like the 80/20 thing. There's a point where you just have to take a deep breath and make time for something restorative.

Awesome. She's beautiful! I have a young Miniature Horse who I thought about training to go in harness one day but I'm giving him away soon to help us save money. Good luck with her on the farm, I'll bet she'll be a great asset to y'all!
