I ruptured my Achilles four days ago. I've already had surgery to repair it. I'm told I have a long, long recovery ahead of me. Anyone else out there go through this? Any advice on how to heal faster, recover sooner? This injury has inspired me to go primal. I've already begun to change my diet, which admittedly was terrible for the past 3 years.

Also, one week before my injury I had switched to Vibram 5 fingers for running. Only did 2 short 1 mile runs. I have tight gastrocnemius/soleus/Achilles from years of cycling. Do you think I set my tendon up for trauma by going barefoot? I hope not b/c I loved the feel of running barefoot.
