I love your attitude " I plan on living for a long time"! That my view as well. When someone asks me what I'm training for I tell them my 90s. I have a lot of friends in their 70s who are in great shape and sometimes I feel like I'm still the young kid on the block.

Hey, Canuck, did you see the 91 year-old guy who broke the bench press record last month? 187 pounds. I feel like you can do it when you hit 90. Then, a few decades later, I'll break your record. Hopefully you'll be around to see me do it.

I think I just set the most long-term goal of my life.

My work sets on bench this week are 250, so 187 shouldn't be that bad in a few decades, especially once my Old Man Strength kicks in.

Yesterday was chest and back day - did 3 sets of 8 reps with 225 after a warm up. Also have a muscle endurance goal of 50 reps with 135 lbs. - so far I'm up to 40 reps.

When George Burns was 90 he was interviewed.
"What would you like people to be saying about you in 30 years time?"
"George Burns is happily celebrating his 120th birthday."

My Mum's a frail 90 year old needing carers to help her and make sure she takes her meds four times a day. I want to be fit, active and walking to the shops to buy my own wine at that age.

I'm off on vacation next Sunday for two weeks. When I return home I shall get serious about losing the last 20lbs or so of blubber I am still carrying around my belly & chest area. I read The Perfect Health Diet last week and into The Paleo Solution this. I feel good eating a few tates, carrots and the occasional white rice. I started the PHD suggested supplements last week and actually find I am not so hungry, not that I got overly so on my Primal Lite food regime. This may be a placebo effect but as long as it works, I don't care.

I have started increasing frequency of my workouts but they still don't take long even at three times a week.
Why use a sledge hammer to crack a nut when a steam roller is even more effective, and, is fun to drive.

I've recently started a new website with a friend called Peak Performance Radio (Peak Performance Radio - Peak Performance). We created Peak Performance Radio to share the stories of many successful people to help inspire a better blueprint for success in business, exercise, technology, diet and life overall. Please feel free to visit and share with friends...Thanks

In my first podcast I have the pleasure of interviewing social media branding specialist and Paleo/Primal advocate Bill Vick, as he shares his views on Peak Performance, business success and his passion for healthy living and the battle against Pulmonary Fibrosis

    Hi everyone!

    GREAT JOB!!! I'm so impressed!

I'll be 62 on 9/16. I went primal the beginning of February of this year, and since 1/1/13 I've lost 53 pounds! I want to lose 5 more (to reach 'normal' BMI), but would love to lost actually 15 more.

I went from pre-diabetes to a fasting glucose of 78 only 3 months in to primal, and I'm down from bp out of control on 2 meds to very in control with 1 med. Hope to get off that soon.

And I've never felt better! I dance or do hilly walks for 45 min. 6 days a week, and the exercise gym is 90% assembled in the garage so I can start upper body weight resistance.

Who ever said 'can't teach an old dog new tricks' never met an over 60 person who's discovered paleo/primal!
